From an early age Claire developed an interest in art which was always encouraged and still is, by her artistic mother.
Claire completed her Diploma of Teaching but realised her true passion was colour. This progressed to studying Studio Textiles/Colour and Design and Diploma in Visual Arts.
Her career has grown from allocating what time was available outside of raising two children, to now painting full time from her home studio in Australia. Like many artists, she can still feel there is never enough hours in the day to dedicate to her work!
Her art has developed over the years with experimentation in a variety of mediums. A journey that has evolved to a technique of multi-layered, ornamental abstract landscapes on large canvasses. This enables her to capture and translate the beauty of colour, the way nature intended, painting natural images in their most vibrant form.
Claire believes art should evoke emotion, and attempts to convey uplifting and positive inspiration through her work.
